Future Villa resident says, “This is the perfect fit” – our luxury retirement community podcast

As a widow, depositor Margaret Blauw is beyond excited about her one-bedroom + den villa and the resort lifestyle she will enjoy at The Arboretum Villas. “This has really made her light up like a little lightning bug and the whole family is excited for her,” said Margaret’s son Jim.

FOLLOWING IS A TRANSCRIPT FROM THE PODCAST:

Nitsa Foundos:
Well, you know what? It is an asset protection plan as well. So, we have that refundability aspect of it. I think it’s important to know that all the way around, you mentioned two things, you mentioned, she planned, she’s a great planner and that what’s most important is not only the social aspect of it as a result of your dad and your husband having been gone for so many years.

Jim:
The other thing that you guys are planning with the Arboretum Villas that both attracted myself as well as her, as the walking trails. And I think you’re putting in either a pond or a kind of a water area.

Nitsa Foundos:
There is a pond in the back of the east of the property line. So, they’ll be walking paths along the pond, and it’ll be stocked with fish.

We’re going to have a beautiful pool that is going to be in a part of the Center for Healthy Living there’s barbecue grills. So if you don’t want to cook then I would turn it over to Jim, make him the grill master.

Margaret Blauw:
Actually my younger son, Doug is a very good cook.

Nitsa Foundos:
There you go. There you go. I can’t wait to see that. And then there’ll be a fire pit with a pergola over it.

Nitsa Foundos:
So, I think that’s a nice attraction for someone that perhaps is single like yourself that would be looking for a community that also has a built-in social network. Would you agree?

Margaret Blauw:
Oh, yes.

Margaret Blauw:
Just the social functioning here with everything that you’ve got laid out that you can do or not do or whatever. That’s that to me is going to be like a vacation. It’s going to be really good.

Nitsa Foundos:
But there’s interest, there’s several interest groups that we haven’t even touched on that will provide an opportunity for you to explore maybe other things that you haven’t had an opportunity to do or learn. And same with men.

Nitsa Foundos:
So, we hit it out of the park. I’d have to say. I’m pretty proud of what’s coming.

Margaret Blauw:
I know I’m anxious and to for it to be completed obviously. But the couple of things, the fact that you are going to have a movie theater and an art studio. When I was in high school and I loved art, I really did.

Nitsa Foundos:
Well, tell me more Margaret, there’s artistic qualities. There’s so many different mediums. Which one do you think you’d like to get into?

Margaret Blauw:
Well, I enjoyed very much sculpture.

Nitsa Foundos:
Oh my.

Margaret Blauw:
I enjoy that. There are things that, I mean, pen and ink. We did so many different types of things like that. Pen and ink and watercolor and stuff. But just to come back to it and to see if I still have this, first of all, desire to do it again and then to actually see if I’m any good.

Nitsa Foundos:
You know what? You’ll be surprised. I will tell you that. First of all, you’re going to be able to take advantage of those interests with instructor-led classes.

Margaret Blauw:
Oh, no, that’s great.

Nitsa Foundos:
We definitely have thought of everything and I can’t wait till it’s done. I’m sure you are feeling the same.

Jim:
I think I’ve always been a big believer that life’s about good choices. And as far as the development and my mom’s interest and involvement with it, I think it’s really been good for her motivation. You know. made her light up like a little lightning bug and the whole family’s excited for her.

Nitsa Foundos:
Aww.

Jim:
I’m really pleased about that.

Nitsa Foundos:
And it’s going to be a place where your grandchildren is going to want to hang out quite a bit. Okay. So get ready. They’re going to be bringing their friends too.

Margaret Blauw:
Oh boy. Maybe I need a larger unit.

Nitsa Foundos:
Well, thank you very much for coming.

Margaret Blauw:
Thank you. Oh, my goodness.

Nitsa Foundos:
Aw, wasn’t it fun?

Margaret Blauw:
Oh, well, no, it was, no, it really was.

Nitsa Foundos:
